#Travel: KL Media adopted by Kampung Ayer Limau Community For A Night

The media members were invited to cover the program ‘WE ARE THE HOST 2016’ – SINGGAH SAHUR MASJID TANAH, MELAKA which to highlight Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin eat for sahur with the village community.
However, upon arrival at Kampung Ayer Limau, the media members were divided into four groups. Then they were given a foster parents.
Before heading to their foster parents house, media members were forced to cook 'Dodol' (a traditional food), and helped by the student of Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka (KUIM).
At 12 am, the media then taken by foster parents to their home for spending time and "ice-breaking" with their new parents before sleep.
At 4am, the media member were taken to Mak Bedah house for sahur with Datuk Mas Ermieyati.
Among the menu for sahur is Masak Lemak Ikan Keli and Binjai, Sambal Belacan Tumbuk, Sambal Daging Sayur Campur and Ulaman and Ikan Masin.
After sahur and Subuh prayer, the media then heading back to Kuala Lumpur. They were shocked with the programmed and happy even they do not satisfy with the fast-paced which actually specially made for them.
Homestay Ayer Limau is the fifth homestay in Melaka, a new tourism product in the state.
With 217 houses and 1,327 villagers, Homestay Ayer Limau launched by Deputy Home Ministry Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop on August 2009.
