3M and 11Street Organising Badminton Coaching for the Underprivileged

Recently I was invited to join a program at SJK(C) Choong Wen, Klang Lama where 3M and 11Street hosted a charity badminton clinic for 35 children from Rumah Victory Children & Youth Home and Pure Life Society.

The clinic was coached by Muhammad Hafiz Hashim. He showed the basic rudiments of a good badminton game to the underprivileged children.

"We believe that this charity badminton clinic is an effective way to help the less fortunate, by connecting them with a sport that the nation loves," 11street Merchandising Division vice-president Bruce Lim

Since the program on that day was related to ‘Drinking Water Week’,  Hafiz Hashim taught the children on the importance of staying hydrated since Badminton sport is a vigorous in nature and requires high athleticism and stamina.

"The collaboration with 11street to host this charity badminton clinic allows us to connect with the less fortunate, give back to society and advocate the benefits of drinking water," 3M Malaysia managing director, Parameswaran Nair.

At the event Yeoh also shared health tips.

“It is important to stay hydrated throughout the day to ensure that your body is getting the water dosage it needs to function at optimal levels. Water is the best for hydration as it does not contain sugar or carbohydrates, yet effectively quenches thirst," said Yeoh.
